Habitar la biblioteca | VV.AA.

The editorial project “Habitar la biblioteca” (2023), co-edited with Máquina de aplausos and Proyectos Ninguém, explores the place of books and knowledge in our intimate spaces. Fourteen women artists, booksellers, writers and book curators from Mexico and Chile reflect on their books and libraries.

Part of this project is to make evident the interrelationality and the economy of the infinite exchange of libraries. In our homes, with friends and institutions, we are constantly exchanging knowledge. It is not only in the public library that we find and acquire books, it is also, and above all, from personal collections that we create collective networks.

This book is also an apology for books and the written word, and recognizes libraries as affective, creative, vulnerable, open and constantly under construction.
