Demanda Pública (Public Demand) is a work by the Chilean artist María Luisa Portuondo Vila in which, between October 2019 and February 2020, she collected citizen demands thought an installation located in various protest spaces in Santiago de Chile. The installation arises from the historical process started in Chile on October 18th, 2019, called by the press as ‘Social Outbreak’.

In September 15th 2020, María Luisa arrived at the Palacio de la Moneda – Headquarters of the Chilean Government – to deliver more than 1,800 citizen demands.

Thanks to the support of Goethe-Institut Chile and Museum of Memory and Human Rights, we are happy to announce that the digital book of Public Demand, with all the collected demands, is now available for free reading and downloading.

Also, there will be a physical copy available for consultation in Naranja Publicaciones.
