This collective publication, which is part of our personal collection, has been specially selected for the November newsletter. Here are some facts about the book.
- Habitar la Biblioteca [Inhabiting the Library] is a collective publication edited by Andrea Reed-Leal and Máquina de Aplausos.
- The editor, Andrea Reed-Leal, writes: “Habitar la Biblioteca is a kind of exquisite corpse of the personal libraries of artists, poets, librarians, editors and researchers. Our voices interwine from Chile, Mexico, and the United States to unleash the conversation about how the library, in turn, inhabits us.”
- The system of publication of the contributions is reminiscent of an old library file. Each of these cards contains the contribution of one of the participants.
- The contributions consist of small publications (booklets, cards, posters) in which the authors reflect, through text, image and objectuality, on their relationship with books, publications, libraries and communities.
