Others think / Outros pensam originally “Other People Think” is a project of the Chilean artist Alfredo Jaar as an homage to the composer John Cage. The work created on the occasion of the centennial of Cage in 2012, was translated for the first time to Portuguese and Spanish. The book presents the oldest essay of Cage. It was written in 1927 when Cage was just 15 years old.

Other People Think is an essay that analyzes in a prodigious and surprising manner the relationships between North America and Latin America. It is possible to elucidate in its content, a criticism that lasts up to the present times, this is relevant to the present culture and politics.

Jaar works in this publication with the imbalances of that historically stuck when retaking this intriguing text for today`s public specially for the Latin Americans, through this bilingual edition published by Ikrek Edições in the Lucrecia Zappi translation.
